A Prime Lens and a Durga Pujo To Test It Out!

New lens (34 of 38)

There wasn’t too much of pandal hopping this year. There were a couple of adda sessions with my friends, and I went out with my parents and Gunja to visit a few pandals around Kolkata. My birthday coincided with Saptami. It turned out to be really nice.

My mother had a 37mm f2.8 prime lens that she used with her SLR camera.

She gave it to me a few months back, but I couldn’t use it since it wouldn’t fit on my camera. My parents gifted me an adapter ring on my birthday.

This blog post has 28 random photos that I took with the prime lens, around pandals in Kolkata and at my house.

It’s tougher to focus than my other two Canon lenses. I have to zoom in every time and check the image to be absolutely sure. However, it does not reduce image quality 🙂 And additionally, I can get a larger amount of bokeh.
